On October 22, the hashtags “#Pledis_Protect_Woozi” and “#Woozi_Post_Personal_Lawsuit_Notice” rose to the top of South Korea’s real-time trends on X.
Fan accounts organizing the campaign said they were demanding an active response from Pledis to what they described as continued malicious personal attacks against Woozi.
The campaign called specifically for the agency to issue a separate legal-action notice concerning Woozi rather than relying only on broader statements about protecting SEVENTEEN as a group.
Woozi is currently serving in the South Korean military after beginning his mandatory service in September 2025.
Some of the recent criticism referenced by commenters appears to have intensified around clips from military-related performances circulating online, although the viral TheQoo post itself does not document the full origin or specific allegations behind every malicious comment.
The trend prompted strong reactions on TheQoo, where users criticized both the people posting hostile comments and what they viewed as an inadequate response from Pledis.
Several commenters also argued that Woozi’s role as one of SEVENTEEN’s principal songwriters and producers made the attacks particularly frustrating, while others said they supported stronger legal action regardless of whether they were fans of the group.
Netizen Reactions
The sampled reactions were overwhelmingly supportive of Woozi and critical of both malicious commenters and Pledis Entertainment, with several users demanding individual legal action on his behalf.
1. I’m not even a Carat, but I can clearly tell that the songs Woozi writes really bring out SEVENTEEN’s identity. Isn’t Woozi an incredibly important member? (Not that any member isn’t important.) Why the hell are they attacking him? Seriously...
2. It was seriously so bad. I hope those malicious commenters get hit hard by karma. There are plenty of people here giving off that nasty-ass vibe too—ugh, I don’t know if they’re just oblivious or living like there’s no tomorrow, but they’re vicious.
3. Look at those comments. Even on sites that require identity verification, they still crawl out and spew hatred and mockery like it’s breathing, so imagine how bad it is elsewhere. This is what the agency’s incompetence and neglect have allowed to happen to someone who did nothing wrong. If Pledis has any conscience, instead of going on about “Team SEVENTEEN,” put out an individual lawsuit notice for our Jihoon and properly show the results too. You’re no different from the malicious commenters, you crazy bastards.
4. Please just hit them with proper lawsuits. Back when those huge anti accounts were fcking awful, people kept telling them to sue quickly, but they dragged their feet and barely got around to it. These bastards make money off Woozi’s songs while being fcking terrible at taking care of him.
5. I’m a fan of another group who went to Gyechunchil, and I’m seriously rooting for Carats. There’s no need to show any leniency to malicious commenters hiding behind their screens. What the hell is Pledis doing? Nothing has changed. It’s so frustrating.
6. The malicious comments were way too severe. There are also tons of videos twisting things to bait reactions even though the people making them weren’t even there. I really hope the malicious commenters get punished.
7. I only saw him once when he appeared on Please Take Care of My Refrigerator, but he seemed really capable and like a decent person... I always support taking legal action.
8. Probably because people are giving him shit when he literally didn’t do anything? Seriously, mocking him for absolutely no reason is just entertainment to them.
9. Do they even realize how low and pathetic they are? They’re not even worth the dirt under Woozi’s toenails, so why do they live like that?
10. I saw it too. They definitely need to sue. I was watching one of those army-performance clips that came up on YouTube and the comments were an absolute shitshow.
