Samsung Electronics has teased a new Galaxy Z Fold8 collaboration with girl group RESCENE, drawing excitement from fans over the group’s growing list of brand partnerships.
Samsung Korea shared a teaser through its official social media accounts featuring the silhouettes of five women holding Galaxy Z Fold8 devices alongside the phrase, “Shall we get started?”
Although the teaser itself did not name the women, Yonhap News reported that Samsung is preparing a Galaxy Z Fold8 collaboration campaign with RESCENE.
The partnership follows an existing connection between the group and Samsung’s latest foldable lineup. During the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Flip8 pre-order period in July, Samsung provided devices to RESCENE’s members, who later shared photos and appeared to use the phones during livestreams and other content.
The collaboration comes as Samsung works to broaden the Fold8’s appeal among younger and female consumers.
According to Samsung, customers in their teens through 30s accounted for around half of Fold8 and Flip8 pre-orders through Samsung.com in South Korea, while the number of female customers in that age group purchasing the Fold8 lineup more than doubled compared with the previous generation.
Online users have also speculated about whether the RESCENE collaboration could involve a special edition or exclusive color, although Samsung has not announced such a product.
The news drew an enthusiastic response on Nate Pann, where commenters pointed to the Samsung collaboration as another sign of RESCENE’s recent rise in popularity.
