Netflix is launching a new K-pop girl group audition project centered on students attending arts and broadcasting-focused high schools in South Korea.
Titled We Go High, the survival program will bring together students competing for the opportunity to become members of a new girl group while representing their schools and pursuing their dreams of debuting.
Contestant recruitment began on October 21. Students currently in their first or second year at high schools with arts or broadcasting-related programs are eligible to apply, along with students scheduled to enter eligible schools for the 2027 academic year.
According to Netflix, the program will focus on talented arts high school students meeting as rivals, competing and growing alongside one another as they work toward debut.
Production and directing will be led by Monstera House producers Park Jin-kyung and Lee Jae-seok.
Netflix has also signed a memorandum of understanding with SM C&C to support the girl group formed through the program after the survival show concludes.
Under the partnership, the two companies plan to support the winning group’s development and activities following its debut, including efforts to help the members expand onto the global stage.
While promotional material has emphasized the program’s international reach through Netflix, specific details about how the final members will be selected have not yet been announced.
Applications and additional information are available through Netflix Korea’s official social media channels.
