Kim Min Gets Scolded by Dongducheon Resident After Slip of the Tongue on ‘I Live Alone’

Actor Kim Min showed off his clumsy charm after a slip of the tongue got him scolded by a local resident in a preview for MBC’s I Live Alone.

At the end of episode 670, which aired on October 23, a preview teased Kim Min’s return to the show. After making his way through heavy fog, Kim Min arrived at a sports field and explained that Dongducheon holds an annual neighborhood sports day. He greeted local residents and said his goal was to take first place in the relay race.

Kim Min explained that many younger residents had left the neighborhood, leaving behind an older population, and joked that other teams underestimated them because of their high average age.

Before the competition, Kim Min joined residents in chanting slogans to raise morale. One resident shouted, “We don’t need priority seats for the elderly and infirm,” but Kim Min accidentally repeated it as, “We don’t need the elderly and infirm.”

A resident immediately corrected him, telling him that instead of saying they were not needed, he should have said, “The elderly and infirm can do it too.”

The preview later showed Kim Min taking part in the relay race, raising anticipation over whether he would be able to help restore the neighborhood residents’ pride.

Kim Min’s return comes after he faced allegations of staging following an earlier appearance on I Live Alone. During that episode, he introduced a 90-year-old house in Dongducheon belonging to an older acquaintance whose family had long been close with his own, explaining that he stays there while traveling back and forth from abroad.

After some viewers used Road View images to question whether the situation had been staged, others criticized the scrutiny as excessive. MBC later stated that the house is genuinely used as Kim Min’s living space and that the production team did not separately renovate or stage it for the broadcast.
