During the October 28 episode, Jeon and food creator MeatMan competed over their restaurant recommendations in Istanbul. Jeon introduced a restaurant run by Turkish celebrity chef Burak Özdemir as his final pick.
As the cast discussed the restaurant and its lamb dish, Jeon began commenting on the food before quietly admitting, “Actually, I haven’t been there. I’m seeing this place for the first time in my life.”
His confession surprised the other cast members. Lim Woo-il joked that this made the situation even more deserving of criticism, while Kim Sook grabbed Jeon by the collar in disbelief.
When Yang Se-chan asked why he had recommended the restaurant despite never visiting it, Jeon explained that it was popular on social media and somewhere he personally wanted to try.
The cast reacted by saying they had been completely fooled.
The report also referenced a previous controversy surrounding Jeon’s August appearance on “I Live Alone,” when an allegedly spontaneous trip to Kazakhstan drew suspicion that it had been planned in advance.
