IVE has released the “CAST” photo set for their upcoming EP Looks Can Kill.
The new images feature all six members — Gaeul, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Rei, Leeseo and An Yujin — in highly stylized individual looks built around the album’s colorful hero-inspired concept.
The photos pair the members with bold costumes, gloves, masks and metallic props against brightly colored studio backgrounds, with each member receiving a distinct visual treatment.
The “CAST” release is part of the promotional rollout for Looks Can Kill, IVE’s upcoming fifth EP. Official album materials have also leaned heavily into a superhero theme, including versions titled “GIRL HERO,” “HERO COMICS” and “HERO ON SET.”

The sampled comments were mixed, with some users praising the members and playful hero concept while others criticized the masks, styling and choice of concept photos.
1. Is this a follow-up to “Accendio”? But those masks look cheap. It would’ve been better if they commissioned something more high-end, like the shop that made the metal accessories for “Armageddon,” or the place that made the accessories for Taeyeon’s “INVU”...
2. Their concept photos are always like this, but then the music videos turn out fine ㅋㅋㅋ Why are they so bad at choosing concept photos? It even has a similar vibe to the last one.
3. Targeting younger elementary school kids. I guess this makes sense for IVE. It’s just not my taste.

7. Whenever IVE releases concept photos, I wish they’d reveal the names of whoever handled the concept and photo selection too, like the inspector’s name printed on a milk carton... Just so we can say one thing to them and be done with it.
