A dash-cam video from 2022 showing broadcaster Hong Seok-cheon stopping to help a sanitation worker clear trash from a Seoul road has resurfaced online, drawing renewed attention.
The footage was originally recorded near Gongdeok Station in December 2022 after several bags of trash fell from a vehicle onto the roadway. After seeing a sanitation worker attempting to clear the scattered trash, Hong asked for the vehicle he was riding in to stop and for the hazard lights to be turned on before getting out to help.
Hong helped gather the trash back into the bags before greeting the worker and returning to the vehicle. The moment was captured by a dash cam rather than filmed or uploaded by Hong himself.
When the footage began circulating again in October 2026, Hong confirmed that it was an old video and said he had simply stopped because the sanitation worker was clearing the road in a dangerous situation.
