Do Kyung-wan Says He Was Cut From His Last Regular Show as Jang Yoon-jeong Gives Blunt Response

Do Kyung-wan revealed that he was cut from his last remaining regular television program, prompting a blunt response from his wife, Jang Yoon-jeong.

During the October 29 broadcast of KBS 2TV’s Fun-Staurant, Do spoke with his manager Song Sung-ho about his lack of work and shared that he had been dropped from Men Who Run the Charts, where he had served as an MC for about four years.

When Oh Yoon-ah asked whether Do had been removed or whether the program itself had been canceled, Boom joked that it would at least feel better if the entire show had ended.

Song tried to reassure Do by suggesting that taking a break might not be a bad thing after being busy as a freelancer, but Boom teased him from the studio, saying, “You only had one regular show. What was so exhausting about that?”

Do later told Jang Yoon-jeong that he had been removed from his only remaining regular program. When she asked whether the show was undergoing a major overhaul, he replied, “No, only I was replaced. Sang-min hyung is staying.”

After Do wondered aloud whether he simply had not done a good job, Jang joked, “Don’t you just read the charts and move along?” Seeing that her comment had struck a nerve, she added, “Why are you making the mood so gloomy? You’ve already been cut.”

Later, when Do said he felt like drinking even though it was only 10 a.m., Jang responded, “Go ahead. What does it matter? You don’t have any work anyway,” drawing laughter.

The report also referenced recent criticism after Do previously revealed that stock investment losses had left just ₩254,795 in his account and described cutting household expenses. Some online users accused him of “playing poor” after renewed attention was drawn to reports that Jang purchased a ₩12 billion penthouse in Seoul entirely in cash in 2024.
