A2O LITE Joins Lineup for 2027 D Awards in Paris

Rookie girl group A2O LITE has been announced as part of the performer lineup for the 2027 D Awards in Paris.

A2O LITE was included in the ceremony’s fourth lineup announcement alongside WayV and EVAN.

The 2027 D Awards will take place over two nights on January 15 and 16 at Plenitude Arena in Paris, formerly known as Paris La Défense Arena. It will mark the third edition of the K-pop awards ceremony and its first edition held outside South Korea.

Other announced performers include TWICE’s Jihyo, TXT, Yeonjun, DPR IAN, P1Harmony, KISS OF LIFE, YENA, WayV and several other artists.

A2O LITE debuted earlier this month with the digital single “NEON.” The nine-member group was launched by A2O Entertainment and is produced by former SM Entertainment founder Lee Soo-man.

News of the group’s appearance in Paris drew mixed reactions on Nate Pann, with some commenters questioning the group’s rapid rise and promotional strategy while others expressed surprise at the scale of the upcoming event.

Netizen Reactions

The sampled comments were mostly critical of A2O LITE, with commenters questioning the group’s promotion, multinational lineup and rapid rise. Several also disputed comparisons involving BTS or the perceived prestige of the D Awards, while one commenter reacted positively to the scale of the Paris event.

1. Without manipulation or exaggeration, there’s really nothing to see with them ㅠㅠ
2. Are they seriously using BTS to promote this right now? They’ve got some nerve.
3. If they’re calling themselves K-pop singers, how are there more foreign members than Korean members? With foreigners making up the majority, I just can’t really feel attached to them.
4. So what? The viral marketing isn’t working.
5. Fact check: That awards show was only established in 2025, and BTS has never appeared there.
6. Wait, are they buying views? Their likes are really low, but their view counts are ridiculously high. What’s going on? Especially their music-show views—can someone explain?
7. They’re not really at the level to be included there, and didn’t they say they weren’t K-pop? “Zalpha Pop” or whatever it was... They’re basically freeloading off K-pop while trying to separate themselves from it.
8. China is basically doing a “Northeast Project” on K-pop now.
9. Go do a dance challenge with Lee Soo-man in front of the Eiffel Tower.
10. Paris...? Wow, that’s on a huge scale ㄷㄷ
