In a recent interview, Suzy reflected on the range of characters she has played, from Yang Seo-yeon in Architecture 101 and Lee Yu-mi in Anna to Lee Doona in Doona! and Ki Ka-young in Genie, Make a Wish.
Suzy said she once did not understand why people looked at her and thought of a “first love.” Her perspective changed after someone told her that her face was relatively ordinary and plain, making it easy for viewers to project a character’s emotions onto her.
“That made me think, ‘I guess my face can hold many different characters,’” she said. Suzy added that as time passes, she sometimes discovers expressions and sides of her face that she had never noticed before.
