Dispatch Faces Backlash Over Allegations of Maliciously Editing Jungkook's Airport Photos

A Nate Pann post sparked debate after accusing Dispatch of deliberately editing a video thumbnail featuring BTS’s Jungkook during an airport departure.

The original poster compared images from the Dispatch video and claimed that Jungkook’s nose appeared larger and his eyes smaller in the original thumbnail. The poster also claimed that fans quickly complained about the image and that Dispatch later replaced the thumbnail with a version without the alleged alterations.

The poster characterized the incident as an example of negative viral promotion against Jungkook. However, the comments became sharply divided over the comparison. Some users agreed that his facial features appeared to have been altered, while others accused the original poster of using edited images themselves or pretending to be a Jungkook fan to provoke controversy.

The original poster later responded that they had increased the brightness of one comparison image in order to make the alleged changes to Jungkook’s nose and eyes easier to see, saying they had not expected to be accused of altering his skin.

The images and comments in the post do not independently establish whether Dispatch intentionally manipulated Jungkook’s appearance, so the editing allegation remains a claim made within the online discussion.

Netizen Reactions

The sampled comments were heavily divided, with some users supporting the editing allegation while others challenged the images used by the original poster and accused them of deliberately stirring up a fanwar.

1. HYBE put out press releases and paid Dispatch for Chuseok. The reason it had to be Dispatch was to manage Jungkook as an artist—to use Dispatch as a quiet warning that they’re watching him. Dispatch was never that good at retouching artists to look good in the first place.
2. He’s handsome, but now that Jungkook is over 30, you can see him starting to age.
3. Ever since the couple tattoo thing came out, his face seems a little worn out too ă…
4. Did he get his nose and eyes done again?
5. He seriously has such an Arab camel-type face. At least Ailee is pretty ă…‹ă…‹
6. Japanese outlets just publish regular press photos, and even in unedited close-up press photos his eyes, nose, and mouth look this good ă…‹ă…‹ă…‹ His hair styling was a complete mess, and he basically saved the whole schedule with his face. Looks like people decided today was the day to hate on him. Jungkook fans don’t even post on this dead Pann anymore, fuxk. Is it Jungkook’s fault that your faves don’t have individual schedules? ă… ă… ă… ă… ă…  Why the hell are you writing trash like this?
7. I raised the brightness so I could compare the editing around his nose and eyes. If I compared screenshots from the video, you couldn’t really see the difference because of the image quality. I never imagined people would accuse me of editing his skin and pretending to be a fan. I’ll fix it, hold on.
8. OP, quit your bullshit. Everything you brought here was reverse edited by toxic international fans, so where do you get off pretending to be a Jungkook fan? Fuxk. This is just a random frame captured from the video. Anyone who watches the video will see the truth anyway, so what are you even talking about?
9. Why the hell did you say in the post that the image on the right was the original? Are you some psycho pretending to be a fan...? You edited his skin to look like crap and then called that the original? ă…‹ă…‹ă…‹ă…‹ă…‹ Even a direct screenshot from the video looks like this, so what are you doing?
10. Out of all the BTS members, Jungkook gets targeted by negative viral campaigns the worst. It’s been like that from the beginning.
